My (Lyndsey’s) parents, brother and sister-in-law came to visit us in Bangkok! We got to celebrate the babies with a baby shower and stroller shopping. It was fun to show them what our lives look like and adventure downtown together. The best part though was simply in-person quality time.

We had some time after family left, so we flew to Chiang Rai for an unplug in the mountains. The views were lovely!

A New Semester

Jonathan started teaching a new class he created this semester. Advanced Art Studio is more of an open studio format and it has been fun to see the diversity of creative ideas cross-pollinating. He has particularly enjoyed working with the students who will be taking AP next year. Outside of the classroom, we have a busy season of extra-curricular activities that are fun but tiring! In the beginning of February, the “Truth, Temptation, and Transformation” (or TTT for short) sessions went well. Jonathan and Lyndsey both supported a small group of students through afternoon seminars on difficult topics like Mental Health, Sexuality, Gender, Substance Use, etc. It is always an encouraging but tough week of loving students with truth shared gracefully. This week is the Spring SALT trips, where each grade level goes on a Service and Learning Together experience. Jonathan will be working with 10th graders as they travel to Kanchanaburi for three nights.

I (Lyndsey) have been subbing a lot and loving every moment with students. Speaking of which, my time with my 11th-grade LifeGroup girls has been SO rich. Our trust is so strong and the girls care for each other (and me) so well! We’ve been journeying through life challenges and studying/discussing God’s word each week. We also got to be together for TTT, which seemed extremely informative and encouraging to them.

Thank you so much for your continued support. My nutrition work is also going well. I am focusing less on rigorous educational content as we prepare for the babies to arrive, but am enjoying sharing what is working for me. I hope what I am finding fun and easy gives other moms new ideas and excitement. I also got to attend an Imagine Thailand conference in Bangkok in the end of February. It was so good to see everyone I have worked with and meet new people.

Leisure

Jonathan and I have been loving weekly trips to the King’s Park and various art museums/exhibits! It has been nice for him to get to run and for me to soak in the sights, sounds, and fresh air.

With needing more physical rest, hard workouts have transitioned to walks on the balcony (and watching the bump grow in window reflections:

I am enjoying reading more. Jonathan also surprised me with a 3-month violin rental. It has been fun to give my favorite instrument a go! I am confident that these rapidly growing girls will have Twinkle Twinkle and Ode to Joy memorized by the time they are born 😉

We have attended pregnancy socials recently and even took a “Bringing Your Baby Home” class downtown. I have also been going to twin meet-ups at a café with play rooms. So far I have met about 7 moms with twins aged 6-18 months. We can’t wait for Averie and Everly to join the bunch!
